Changchun Perfect English is a fully licensed; American owned and managed school in Changchun, China. We currently maintain a City Education Department license allowing us to legally teach in any location throughout Changchun (most schools can only legally teach in one of the five districts within the city), we have a license that allows us to hire foreign teachers (most schools do not have this license) and we are licensed by the City Education Department to teach PECCC or foundation English.

Perfect English is located in the business center of downtown Changchun.We are on the second floor of The Torch Building, one of the major buildings that front on Tong Zhi Street – a central artery in Changchun.

We teach to all age levels, from pre-school through adult, out teachers also teach in several of the best kindergartens and primary schools, we teach at several companies and have a contract to teach the teachers at the premier elementary school.

Perfect English hires only native speakers over 21, who are certified ESL/EFL teachers and have at least two years of college or university.While many schools hire native or fluent English speakers, we believe that it is important to know HOW to effectively TEACH English.Just knowing words is no indication that clear, accurate and understandable pronunciation will be taught.Further, just because someone knows a language is no indication that they know or can TEACH the correct ways to USE the language.

By design, we decided to establish a school that operated by western standards; provided custom designed furniture and have installed multimedia systems in all classrooms (with all legal DVDs and videotapes from America).In May 2003 we expanded our facility and added two offices, five classrooms and a lobby that students can use before class.In September 2004, Perfect English was the first school in Changchun to establish an “English Only” policy requiring all students to speak only English while in the school.

We have standardized on books and educational materials from the major publishers of English educational materials (not photocopies of books with reduced content so common here).While these books are very expensive by Chinese standards, we operate on the simple premise that we will not compromise the quality of our education.

The clear mandate for all Perfect English Associates is to do whatever is necessary to achieve a higher level of excellence in teaching oral and conversational English!We believe that the product of excellent teachers, materials, methods, management and philosophy is that our students will learn to communicate in clear, accurate and understandable English.

Perhaps as important as anything else, Perfect English is an American owned and managed English School Changchun, China (northeast China).While working for a Chinese school can be a very positive and interesting experience, some westerners feel frustrated and stifled by the many cultural differences that come to a head while working for one.We want our teachers to concentrate on teaching not resolving cultural conflicts.

We understand the living standards of ”foreigners”, so all the apartments; furnishings and services we provide to our teachers reflect those standards.All documents necessary to live and work in China are prepared in both Chinese and English so there are no surprises.Everything that is, can be or might be confusing, different or even amazing will be explained so that the teacher will understand it.
